Jerold L. Ratliff

Jerold L. “Jerry” Ratliff, recently of Mooresville, Indiana, formerly of Parker, Colorado, passed away suddenly of a heart attack September 24, 2021. Jerry was born February 24, 1956, in La Junta, Colorado, to the late Asa Ratliff and Ardith (Bettis) McKinster. He married Kristen (Miller) Ratliff on July 21, 1984, and she survives.

Jerry graduated from Douglas County High School in Colorado. Mechanically minded, he retired from the United State Postal Service in 2019, where he worked as a mechanic. He enjoyed classic cars, racing boat, and just about anything that went fast. Jerry was especially proud of his 1962 Impala; it was the first car he ever purchased and had recently restored it to its original condition. He will be fondly remembered by a loving family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Kristen; children, Beth (Jeff) Latte, Zak (Melissa) Ratliff, and Gage (Elizabeth) Ratliff; siblings, Ace (Trish) Ratliff, Mike (Chris) Ratliff, and Lori Holt.

According to Jerry’s wishes, cremation rites will be observed. A future gathering to honor and celebrate his life will be announced.   1. We are saddened to hear of Jerry’s passing. We enjoyed being neighbors and will always remember the wonderful peanut brittle he made over the holidays! Our thoughts are with all family and friends. Eric and Tracey Hansen

  2. I spent manys in that 62, we both worked at the Pondarosa Inn his mom owned, went to school together, partied together. I am blessed to have known him. I was lucky to see him and talked to him a few times in the last couple of years.
