Jerome Joseph “Jerry” Septoski, 67 of Waverly passed away on February 25, 2016 at his home. He was born October 16, 1948 in Harvey, Illinois to the late Walter and Dolores (Borsch) Septoski. On January 29, 1972 Jerry was united in marriage to his loving wife, Cathy (Catherine Vanderwall) Septoski and she survives.
Jerry worked in sales for many years with various companies until his retirement in 2013. After retiring, he enjoyed spending time in front of a canvas with a brush and acrylic paints. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, Jerry will be missed by his family and many friends.
Along with his parents, Jerry was also preceded in death by his brother, Edward Septoski and four of his “fur friends,” Grizzly, Artie, Taffy and Gizmo.
Survivors include his two children, Ian M. (Cortney) Septoski of St. Joseph, MI and Jocelyn B. (Matt) Yost of Indianapolis; three brothers, Walter Septoski of Venice, FL, Paul (Patty) Septoski of Joliet, IL and Peter (Becky) Septoski of Indianapolis; one sister, Marea (Jim) Gonska of Orland Park, IL and his dog Cleo.
Family and friends will gather for a celebration of Jerry’s life from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 4th at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville.
