  1. One cold and snowy day Jim loaded up his old tractor, all of us kids and our sleds and took us to GEIST Reservoir to go ice fishing. We must have been a sight as he pulled all us kids eight in all across the frozen tundra! In the summer he would gather the buns, hotdogs and the brood to return to GEIST Reservoir to hunt for Morel Mushrooms, build a fire to roast wieners and swing from vines! He was always bringing home wild animals. There was a paralyzed raccoon that we called Coonie, a little red fox, frogs in the basement sumpump and a big snapping turtle in the bathtub! There was also bees, chickens and turkeys!
