Johnnie A. Wetzel Sr.

Johnnie A. Wetzel, Sr., 65, Indianapolis, died September 25, 2012, in St. Francis Hospital, Indianapolis. Mr. Wetzel was born December 19, 1946, in Indianapolis, to the late John F. and Betty Jane (Sparks) Wetzel.

An accomplished custom paint and body repairman, Mr. Wetzel was employed at Quality Auto in Mooresville. He also did work independently through the years. He enjoyed cars, especially classics, motorcycles, guitars, music, and Elvis. He was a man who loved life to the fullest, with a strong devotion to his family.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Rickie Wetzel.

Survivors include his wife, Norma (Gibson) Wetzel, to whom he was united in marriage April 20, 1971; children, Johnny A. Wetzel (Shanah) of Camby, Jimmy W. Wetzel (Teresa) of Indianapolis, Billie J. Wetzel (Tammy) of Camby, Jade R. Wetzel (Melissa) of Camby, and Regina C. Wetzel (Chad) of Camby; sister, Cynthia A. Weaver (John) of Clermont; 16 grandchildren; six great grandchildren (and two on the way).

The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Monday, October 1, 2012, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday, September 30, 2012.   2. papaw you are truly missed and forever will be . it breaks my heart too know you wont be sitting in that chair waiting for me too walk in the back door , or just in the window . i love you so much and will miss you forever papaw . i know you are in my heart forever but its not the same as being here in person in my life . i know you are in a better place and not suffering but papaw i miss you and would do anything too see you . theres not a day i wont think of you or miss you … i have the BEST guardian angel ever now and i know youll be waiting for me . rest in peace forever papaw & fly high & be careful i know you and uncle mark are having so much fun up there . please watch over my mamaw and be by her side papaw ; youd be more than proud of mamaw for everything she has done . we love you and miss you more than ever papaw REST iN PEACE PAPAW . youre my hero
