Mrs. Butcher ( as we knew her at Mooresville High School) was a wonderful person and teacher. She was also our cheerleading coach. She only wanted the best out of us. I have very fond memories of her.
The James & Marta Canada Family wish to express our sorrow over the loss of Judy. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Being a younger cousin of Judy’s I did not get a chance to know her as well as the others. What I do remember are her spunky attitude, her attempt to keep her father in line, her love for her mother and her kind and caring heart. RIP Judy your job is now done.
When I began working in the guidance office as Judy’s secretary, I found out what a wonderful person Judy was. She instilled in me a sense of fine detail for all school records that still saves me today on many occasions. She also had companion for the less fortunate than ourselves. She took time to talk to and try to help her students to accomplish an education and a career choice. Even though she was so driven to help her students she still had a wonderful sense of humor. I have many fond memories of our years working together. God bless her. Adele Wright
