Judith Kay “Judy” Clodfelder-Lamson, 83, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2026, at Sugar Grove Senior Living.

Judy was born in Vincennes on July 21, 1943, the first child of William and Geraldine (Bellamy) Jones. She graduated from Bicknell High School.

Judy married her first husband, Raymond Clodfelder, in the 1960s. They shared many wonderful years together until his sudden passing in 1986. In 2000, Judy married Bob Lamson, who preceded her in death in 2015.

Judy worked as an office clerk for Kroger for 15 years before beginning a new chapter as a school bus driver for Plainfield Community Schools, a job she enjoyed for eight years. She was also a former member of Hazelwood Christian Church.

Judy was a woman who found joy in the little things and loved sharing that joy with others. She especially enjoyed clothes shopping, with Kohl’s and JCPenney among her favorite places to browse. She loved jewelry and took great pleasure in collecting it. She was talented with her hands and enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she loved everything about the holiday season.

Judy had a special fondness for red Cadillacs and admired Marilyn Monroe, who was her icon. Above all, Judy loved her family and took great delight in spoiling her grandchildren. She was known for her generosity, her happiness, and her ability to make others feel loved.

Survivors include her daughter, RaeJean LeCompte (Woodrow); siblings, Robert Jones, Jerry Jones, Johnny Jones, Karen Girl, Barbara Jones, and Shirley Stamer; grandchildren, Candice Pannell (Ben) and Nicholas Sandberg (Katie); great-grandchildren, Juniper and Josephine Pannell; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Clodfelder; her second husband, Bob Lamson; and her brother, William Jones, Jr.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 12 Noon to 2:00 pm in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm and she will be laid to rest in White Lick Cemetery next to her husband, Raymond.

  2. Tp my sister Judy. You will be missed All the memories and all the good times. You were the first born out of eight . All the diapers and rocking all your brothers and sisters. All the big meals and all those dishes was a huge help to mom and dad you were always so kind and good to all of us. Our hearts are broken. You had a heart of gold. Love you to heaven and back.     I am so sorry to see this about your mom. I worked with her at Kroger as a kid and she was so nice. Like you while we were growing up, I cannot remember a single day where she did not have a smile on her face. We went to lunch often together and she was always just so kind. Unfortunately, it appears we have lost many of those wonderful ladies from Kroger of late. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time…
