Karl L. Ferguson

Karl L. Ferguson, 80, Mooresville, died December 18, 2011. Mr. Ferguson was born March 21, 1931, in Delaware County, to the late Orville and Madge (Sutton) Ferguson.
Mr. Ferguson attended Martinsville High School and proudly served in the United States Army. He worked for almost 50 years for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in maintenance and heavy equipment. He was an avid sports enthusiast and especially liked racing. Mr. Ferguson attended Eternal Life Baptist Church and was a member of the Brooklyn Masonic Lodge, the Murat Shrine, and the Scottish Rite.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Timothy Dean and Danny Lynn Ferguson; brother, Don Ferguson.
Survivors include his wife of more than 60 years, Ruth (Collins) Ferguson; daughter, Debra Jo Perkins of North Carolina; sister, Betty Jo Hemphill of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Angela Renee and Jennifer Ann Perkins, Steven Michael and Dana Marie Ferguson; one great grandchild, Jordan Tyler Perkins; special daughter-in-law, Rhondi Taylor, favorite canine companion, Smokey.
The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Thursday, December 22, 2011, at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2011. Rev.
