Kathleen May Duffy

Kathleen May Duffy of Mooresville, Indiana, passed away on July 10^th. She was born on May 7, 1930, to the late Florence and Joseph Kagey. She was married to John Duffy on June 14, 1952.

She was employed as a nurse at Methodist Hospital, the Marion County Public Health Department, and the Northwest Hendricks School Corporation. She desired to serve and encourage others and make them as comfortable as possible. She overcame dysfunctional relationships. She didn’t waste time regretting or not forgiving. She lived life with joy, exuberance, daring to risk experiences such as the Air Force marathon at the age of 69, a hot air balloon ride, 3 trips to Ireland, and a ride in an Indy race car (at 170 miles an hour). She lived a long God-blessed life filled with love of her family and friends. She looked forward to the future, especially with God and Jesus through eternity.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John; grandson, Ryan Norman; son-in-law, Dave Frazier; and sister, Eileen Kagey.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathie Frazier, Karla (Wayne) Norman, and Sharon (Doug) Smither; grandchildren, Tianna (Mark) Upton, Ben Smither, and Andrea Smither; great-grandchildren, Conner and Ashlyn Upton, Kari Smither, and Kasen Brua.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, July 13, 2026 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Mooresville Free Methodist Church. A memorial service will begin at 12:00 pm with Pastor John Lefler officiating. Kathleen will be laid to rest in Lincoln Memory Gardens on Thursday, July 16^th at 11:00 am.
