Kathy J. Linder

Kathy J. Linder
66, of Monrovia, passed away on March 17, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family. Kathy was born on July 10, 1954 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Jane (Ford) and William Snyder.

Tough, smart, feisty, kind, lady who you knew if she liked you or didn’t (because she would quickly tell you) is how she will be remembered. A God-fearing woman, she faithfully tuned in each week via online with Emmanuel Church in Greenwood. She was known to have a green thumb and enjoyed raising plants of all kinds. She was also a gamer who you didn’t dare disturb when she was playing her video games, such as Pet Rescue or when she simply cast out her line to fish and spend time in reflection at the pond right out her back door. Family was also very important to her, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed by a loving family and many friends.

In addition to raising her family, she worked at Wake-Up Gas Station, Speedway Gas Station in Mooresville and most recently at Wal-Mart in Martinsville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Jon Thomas Linder and a grandson Nathaniel Sims.

She is survived by her husband, James R. Linder; children Cherish (James) Murphy, Rob (Heather) Linder; siblings Everett Cooper, Khris Cooper, Karla Ferguson, Karen Cooper-Gomez, William Snyder, Jesse Snyder, Sheryl Snyder- Plunkett, Vicky Snyder; grandchildren D.J. Collins, Steven Parker, Lilly Linder, Trey Linder, Colton Linder and great grandchildren Malachi Collins and Bella Collins.

Friends and family will gather on Monday, March 22nd from 12-2pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with services beginning at 2:00pm on Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Hall, IN. All guests attending visitation and/or services are encouraged to wear something blue as that was Kathy’s favorite color.

Additionally, guests will be required to wear a mask at all times in an effort to promote a safe environment. You are also invited to watch the services via live stream on the Carlisle Branson Facebook page. While flowers are welcomed, you may make memorial contributions to the family to offset the unexpected loss of the matriarch and rock of their family.
