Kevin “Joe” Davis, 61, of Mooresville passed away at his home surrounded by his family on September 29, 2022. Joe was born to the late Glen & Patsy Davis on November 26, 1960. He married Noreen
on October 29, 2004. They would have celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary next month. He cherished his 1964 Chevy Nova “Corn Fed”. Joe was very competitive and taught his sons all about cars and racing. His true love was drag racing! Joe likes to collect “things” and would often be referred to as a “modern-day Sanford & Son. He enjoyed playing online Poker, but he loved talking on the phone more than anything. Joe never knew a stranger. He was so very proud of his sons. He would often say “If I had your money, I would burn mine”!
Joe is survived by his loving wife; Noreen Davis, sons; Brad Matthew (Misty) Davis, Brent Andrew (Mayra) Davis, and Kevin Joe Davis Jr., 15 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, along with his sisters; Leah Barlow and Nyla Cooper.
Joe is preceded in death by his brother; John Glen Davis.
Joe’s Life Celebration® Visitation and funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm in the funeral home. Joe’s Life Celebration® Service will be in the funeral home on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at 1:30 with one hour of visitation prior to the start of the service. Burial will be at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville. Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family. My heartfelt condolences to the family. Joe, I am so proud to have known you and raced with you. You were a rare breed, always had a smile on your face and answers to any questions I had (and they were many!). I wish I had just one more race with you, I’m think I could finally get a win against you. Race in Heaven my friend.
