Kirstin Nicole Franklin
27, of Indianapolis, formerly of Mooresville, passed away peacefully at home on November 3, 2024. Kristin was born on February 25, 1997 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Roger Franklin and Dana Carol (Clevenger) Franklin.
A “Riley Kid” she spent much of her childhood at Riley Hospital for Children, battling kidney disease. She was a kidney transplant recipient at the age of 10 from her aunt and once again from an anonymous donor at the age of 25. However, Kirstin was determined to not be defined by her illness. She was a huge fan of the TV show Supernatural, anime, hanging out with her beloved cat, Swayze and listening to music. She will be remembered as a brave, fighter, who could be stubborn at times, but had a wonderful sense of humor.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather, James W. Clevenger.
She is survived by her mother Dana Franklin, father Roger Franklin, siblings Alicia (Sean) McFadyen, Allison Franklin, Joshua Franklin; grandparents Kenny and Linda Franklin, Linda Moore, Angie Clevenger; aunt Sasha Serrano; uncle Chuck (Kris) Franklin, and a nephew Mason McFadyen.
