Lemmie Catellier

Lemmie Catellier, 84, Camby, died May 20, 2012, in St. Francis Hospital, Indianapolis. Mrs. Catellier was born June 12, 1927, in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, to the late Lem and Nannie (Willoughby) Barnett.

Mrs. Catellier attended Decatur Central High School. In addition to working for RCA for 19 years, she was the co-owner of Five Points Auction and Catellier Salvage and Wrecking for many years with her late husband, Louis. She was a member of Waverly Baptist Church and loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Catellier married Louis Francis Catellier on November 24, 1945; he preceded her in death on August 7, 1999. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Albert, Taulbee, Kelly, and Tice Barnett; sisters, Josephine Muncy, Nanny Childeress, Bethel Willoughby, Eaddie Hamilton, Florence Newkirk, and Lona Sherman.

Survivors include sons, Louis F. Catellier, II (Linda) of Mooresville and Dennis Catellier (Luvina) of Camby; daughters, Flossie Mae St. Clair (the late Bradley) of Camby, Lemmie Louise Hommel (George) of Mooresville, Lorraine Jackson (Steve) of Camby, and Julia Schultz (Jay) of Coal City; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild is on the way.

The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Friday, May 25, 2012, at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 24, 2012. Burial will be in West Newton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Cancer Society.
