Lena Burgess
February 5, 1927 ~ November 6, 2011
Lena Burgess, 84, Mooresville, passed away peacefully in her home on November 6, 2011, with her family by her side. She was born in Monticello, Kentucky, to the late James and Mamie (Greene) Crabtree.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Russell Burgess and her son, Dan Burgess.
Lena is survived by her three sons, Steve Burgess (Linda), David Burgess (Denise), and Mitchell Burgess (Shelly) and one daughter, Debbie Berney (Bud). She was dearly loved by ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Lena was a member of the VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary for 42 years. She loved Mooresville and will be missed by her beloved friends and family.
The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, November 8, 2011. Burial will be in the Mooresville Cemetery.
