Lenord "Ray" Blair passed away on December 19, 2019, at the age of 70 years old, surrounded by his family. He was born in Baldwin County, Alabama on August 6, 1949 to Lenord and Mary Blair. He resided in New Palestine, Indiana and was preceded in death by his loving wife, Christine McLeod Blair.
Ray retired from Ford Motor Company after 37 years of service as a skilled trades painter. He was a successful entrepreneur. He was a Vietnam Veteran and received the Vietnam Service Medal, Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device and Combat Infantryman Badge. He enjoyed spending time with his family, laughing and cutting up. He adored his three grandsons.
He is survived by his son, Ashley (Jennifer) Blair; daughter, Melissa Blair; and three grandsons, Brody, Branson, and Bowen Blair; and too many beloved extended family and friends to count.

Ray was a very generous and kind father and papaw. He loved his grandsons very much and really enjoyed spending time with them. He was always very kind to all of us. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ashley, Melissa, Jenny, Brody, Branson, and Bowen. The Holden Family

I’m going to miss you my Friend I was so looking forward to your return to Alabama and I know you were too ! I rode by your house today and remembered how hard you worked on getting it back in shape and it was standing tall and proud but I couldn’t help but feel sad knowing about all the plans you had for that corner of your world… but God had other plans.. you are now reunited with your Wife and Mother and your other Family….What a reunion so until we meet again …Fly High with the Angels….Your Forever Friend Christine!!
I am so sorry to hear about Ray. He was always nice to me and I enjoyed talking to him at family get togethers. I know his family will miss him very much, he was very proud of all of them. I will be praying for you all, and again I’m so sorry for your loss. Sandra Philpot.
