Lenord Ray Blair

Lenord "Ray" Blair passed away on December 19, 2019, at the age of 70 years old, surrounded by his family. He was born in Baldwin County, Alabama on August 6, 1949 to Lenord and Mary Blair. He resided in New Palestine, Indiana and was preceded in death by his loving wife, Christine McLeod Blair.

Ray retired from Ford Motor Company after 37 years of service as a skilled trades painter. He was a successful entrepreneur. He was a Vietnam Veteran and received the Vietnam Service Medal, Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device and Combat Infantryman Badge. He enjoyed spending time with his family, laughing and cutting up. He adored his three grandsons.

He is survived by his son, Ashley (Jennifer) Blair; daughter, Melissa Blair; and three grandsons, Brody, Branson, and Bowen Blair; and too many beloved extended family and friends to count.

I rode by your house today and remembered how hard you worked on getting it back in shape and it was standing tall and proud but I couldn’t help but feel sad knowing about all the plans you had for that corner of your world… but God had other plans.. you are now reunited with your Wife and Mother and your other Family….What a reunion so until we meet again …Fly High with the Angels….Your Forever Friend Christine!!
