LeOren Vern "Frog" Allen

LeOren Vern “Frog” Allen, 82, Mooresville, died March 13, 2012, in Riverview Hospital, Noblesville. Mr. Allen was born June 27, 1929, in Clayton, to the late Leland and Charlotte Lucille (Craven) Allen.

He graduated from Clayton High School, where he played basketball and baseball. Mr. Allen was employed by the Allison Division of General Motors for 30 years as an inspector, retiring in 1991. He loved sports and also enjoyed coaching softball and little league baseball. He and his late wife wintered in St. Cloud, Florida for many years. Frog will be sorely missed by his loving family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marian Letitia (Mynatt) Allen and one brother, Donald C. Allen.

Survivors include his daughters, Cathy Tinder of Danville and Terry Rodenbeck of Mooresville; son, Kevin Allen of Noblesville; three grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.

Rev. Don Endsley will officiate the 12 Noon funeral service on Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 am until service time. Burial will be in Center Valley Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
