Lily Jean Martin

Lily Jean Stanley Martin, 91, Monrovia, died May 31, 2011, in St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove. Mrs. Martin was born August 24, 1919, in Indianapolis.

Mrs. Martin was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family. For many years, she wintered in Tavares, Florida. She will be missed by her loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Mae Wagaman husband of 62 years, Clyde Cleo Martin; son, Jared R. Martin; grandson, Anthony W. Rooker.

Survivors include her son, John W. Martin of Monrovia; daughter, Judith J. Stanselavage of Astatula, Florida; grandchildren, Gina L. Martin Everett (Kurt) of Monrovia and Eric W. Martin (Ashley) of Monrovia; great grandchildren, Brittany J. and Bailey J. Everett; Garrett W. and Grant J. Martin.

The funeral service will begin at 3 p.m., Thursday, June 2, 2011, at the Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 1 p.m. Burial will follow in West Union Cemetery, Monrovia.
