Linda Beth Goffinet

Linda Beth Goffinet, 67, Martinsville, passed away September 10, 2021, at Mill Pond Health Campus in Greencastle. Linda was born June 20, 1954, in Terre Haute, to the late Dale Mundell and Mary Martha Kennard.

She graduated from the first graduating class of South Vigo High School. While she did not know her classmate and future husband at the time, she later met David M. Goffinet while working, and they married on March 29, 1980. Linda was a proud homemaker, loving wife, and nurturing mother to her two daughters and grandchildren. Linda loved children and ran a daycare out of her home for her grandchildren for several years. She was a member of Zion Baptist Fellowship Church and enjoyed the outdoors. She enjoyed making memories with her family camping at McCormick’s Creek. Linda will be fondly remembered for her caring and loving nature.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Mundell.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, David M. Goffinet; daughters, Jennifer Lynn (Josh) Taylor and Jessica Ilene (Kasey) Goeken; brothers, Mike (Geneine) Mundell, Ron (Gail) Mundell, and Bill Mundell; sisters, Nancy (Geoff) Martin and Jacki Kennard; grandchildren, Claire, Walker, Kate, and Laurel; Jeffrey and Daniel.

Friends and family will gather to honor and remember Linda’s life on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, 10 – 11 a.m., at Zion Baptist Fellowship Church, 7520 West State Road 142, Martinsville. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be at the Indiana Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Madison.   1. Mike and I did not know Linda well being new members of the church.Only had the opportunity to meet her once but she was a beautiful person. As our sister in Christ Jesus we loved and prayed for her and know she is not suffering anymore as she is with Jesus. Our hearts go out to the loved ones as it has to very hard for them.
