Linda Lou Danes

December 26, 1951 ~ September 11, 2019
Linda Lou Danes, 67, of Mooresville, passed away September 11, 2019 at Cumberland Trace. The daughter of Carl and Olean (Lane) Wilcher, Linda was born December 26, 1951, in Liberty, Kentucky; her parents preceded her in death. On March 30, 1968, she was united in marriage to William “Bill” Danes, who has preceded her in death.
Bill and Linda had an indestructible love that not even death til they part, could break. Linda’s devotion and love made her the matriarch of the family. Over the years she worked at Herff Jones, Nice Pak, and Gray Brothers Cafeteria. Linda welcomed everyone in her life and never met a stranger. She was a proud Christian, enjoyed reading books, vacations on the beach, and bowling. Linda took great pride in her children and grandchildren; she would be seen at all the grandchildren’s sporting events. Linda is going to be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
Survivors include her two daughters, Celeste Clark (Doug Barry) of Mooresville and Charady (Darrin) Greene of Mooresville; a sister, Lora (Mike) Hoffman of Mooresville; a brother, Don Wilcher of Mooresville; five precious grandchildren, Kalib Clark, Aerial Clark, Deklen Greene, Breken Greene, and Tinley Greene; nephews, Ben Hunter, Tyler Hoffman, Doug Wilcher, Christopher (Carrie) Wilcher, and; and a great nephew and niece, Jake and Emma Wilcher.

Celeste and family, I am so sorry for your loss! I knew your mom when she lived two houses down from my Grandma Helen. I remember her coming to see my Uncle Jeff when he still lived at home. I hope you find comfort in knowing your mom and dad are together again and will be watching over you!
Went home after many years to see my brother Bill. I think I ended up spending more time with Linda. Sorry I missed out on so much time with them both. Linda I found quit amazing for everything she was going through and amazing how she handled things that tested her. She endured a lot, and sure loved my brother more than the moon. She always said if he goes first I will follow soon. She couldn’t imagine her life with out him. Though before she became ill she told me she had decided to dedicate the rest of her years to her grandbabys whom she loved more than life. She bragged often about how smart they are and how they loved sports. She tried not to miss a game. Rest In Peace girl. Life was an adventure for you. You did well. You trusted in the Lord and now your called home. Xoxoxoxo. Sister in law
