I have many fond memories of my Grandpa. I’m so thankful for those memories. He was such an integral part of my and my siblings lives as we were growing up. As we near the Christmas holiday, I recall many fond memories of Christmases gone by with Grandpa. The laughter and joy that filled the air will forever be engrained in my memory. The sadness turns to joy when I recall that ‘ the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.’ Romans 6:23
Lloyd was a unique and interesting guy. John and I especially enjoyed his visit when he rode his motorcycle to Florida and spent some time with us. After his visit . . . he sent me a dozen roses. And, he loved my son. For all of that, I cherish his memory. Alberta Short
We have known Lloyd for about 43 years. We will miss him so much. We and Carolyn and Lloyd usd to meet every Wed. evening at Ponderosa with another couple. He had this little thing he kept his pills in and every single time we would eat he would say, ‘Jackye, I’ll bet you don’t have one of these’ and he would open it and then hold it up in the air and point it at me and click it shut. Then I would act like that made my day and I could enjoy my meal better. He sure was a good man. Not long ago he wanted me to have this book about birds and he would mention it to Carolyn almost every day that he wanted me to have it.I will be praying every day for Carolyn and the family, which I have been doing all along.
Thank you, Dad for all the love and care you gave me my entire life. I’m so thankful that I was able to visit you over the Thanksgiving Holiday. It looks like this could be the “comeback year” for our Indiana Hoosiers. 🙂 I’ll miss sharing with you on the phone our talks about IU Basketball. I will miss you so much, but am thankful you are at peace with your Savior. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” I love you, Your daughter, Pam
Dad, I’m so happy you’re free from all pain, and you have your mind again. I’m sure you’re mind is sharper than mine is now! You are united again with your parents, grandparents, Ernie, Wilma, Steve, and Kurt–and best of all, you’re with Jesus. One day we’ll all be together again, and have a permanent family reunion. But until that day I will miss you. I love you, your daughter, Rhonda
Some of my best memories of Uncle Lloyd were growing up. Lloyd took an interest in all my sports at Center Grove. It was nothing for him to drive considerable distances to see me play. I really appreciated him attending so many of my games and being so supportive. On the lighter side, I remember him always ordering a hot dog, popcorn and Hershey bar at my Little League baseball concession stand. I also remember being volunteered to hand crank the lemon homemade ice cream on his front porch in Mooresville. It was worth it. You will be missed Uncle Lloyd. Your nephew, Tim Perry
