Lola M. Rogers

Lola M. Rogers, 85, Mooresville, died February 7, 2013, in St. Francis Hospital, Mooresville. Mrs. Rogers was born December 20, 1927, in Indianapolis, to the late Elbert and Clara (Black) Sparks.

Mrs. Rogers graduated from Ivy Tech College and worked for RCA, Paramount Publishing, Bowers Envelope, The Apple House, and Harman-Motive. She was a member of the Eagles and Moose Lodges. Mrs. Rogers enjoyed playing bingo, and an occasional trip to the casino, playing Yahtzee, and traveling to Vegas. She will be missed by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, LeRoy, Jack, and Charles Sparks; sisters, Wanda LeFevers and Joy McGuire.

Survivors include her children, Patricia Duncan of Mooresville, Jerry Rogers (Barbara) of Martinsville, and Randall Rogers (Marcia) of Mooresville; brothers, Richard Sparks of Virginia and Daniel Sparks of Florida; sisters, Brenda Fuller of California and Sharon McDaniel of Plainfield; grandchildren, Kimberly Swails, Pamela Jones, and Tracie Hammer; Carla Rogers, Sherry Blondell, and Karen Wade; Randy Rogers and David Rogers; 16 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren.

The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 12, 2013, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 5 to 9 p.m., Monday, February 11, 2013.
