Loretta S. Sutton
90, of Mooresville, passed away on June 15, 2022 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. Loretta was born on May 22, 1932 in Cave City, Kentucky to the late Prentice Scott and Mettie (Turpin) Scott.

Loretta worked at Western Electric, packaging ringers for 31 years, before retiring. She was united in marriage to Charlie Sutton on July 7, 1951 and were married over 70 years, until his passing in 2021. Loretta was an animal lover through and through. She adopted many animals over the years, some wild, like a coyote to any horse, dog, or cat in between. She also enjoyed spending time with friends camping and riding horses out west in Missouri, Utah as well as her favorite spot, in Brown County, Indiana. She always put others first before her own needs. It was her giving, selfless, kind, loving and wonderful heart of gold that will be remembered and missed by her loving family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother James Marshall Scott.

She is survived by her daughter, Mettie "Nita" Dunz; sister Dorothy Smith; nephews Danny Scott, Marshall Scott and many extended family and friends.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Loretta’s life on Monday, June 20th from 10am to 12 Noon at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Funeral services will follow at 12 Noon Monday in the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
