Lowell O. Haltom

Lowell O. Haltom 88, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully at his home on October 30, 2022. Lowell was born in Owen County to the late Orville & Thelma Haltom on April 7, 1934. Lowell married Delores (Withem) Haltom on January 25, 1957. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this year. Lowell started his own business, Haltom Equipment in the late 1970s and served the local community for over 20 years until his retirement. Lowell enjoyed restoring old tractors and building remote-control models. He could often be found sitting in his chair reading, tinkering in his garage, woodworking, or even riding snowmobiles during the winter months. Lowell was a Mason and former president of the Mooresville Lion’s Club.


Lowell is survived by his loving wife; Delores Haltom, sons; Mark (Candy) Haltom, Tad (Carolyn) Haltom, and Ken (Pam) Haltom, along with 7 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.


Visitation will be held at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory on Friday, November 4, 2022, from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at 11:00 am. Burial will be immediately following at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville.
