Lucy L. Barger, 78 of Mooresville, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Mooresville. She was born April 17, 1938 in Clay County, Kentucky to the late Jess and Flora (Allen) Bishop. Lucy was united in marriage to Robert G. Barger for many years; he preceded her in death in November of 2009.

Lucy and Robert owned and operated Barger Printing in Greenwood for 51 years retiring in 1996. After retiring from the printing company, she worked in the produce department at Meijer for several years. She enjoyed bowling and playing golf at the Royal Oak Country Club in Greenwood. A loving mother, sister, and grandmother, Lucy’s memory will be cherished by her loving family and friends.

Survivors include her three sons, Ray (Sandy) Barger of Ft. Myers, Florida, Kent (Jody Stuck) Barger of Centerton, Duane (Tammy) Barger of Mooresville; two grandsons, Corey Barger of Ft. Pierce, Florida and Devon Barger of Mooresville; one brother, Homer (Etta) Bishop of Mooresville; sister, Betty (Carl) Carpenter of Thorntown; and her sister-in-law, Idona Bishop of Mooresville

Lucy was also preceded in death by her son, Bobby Barger and two brothers, Conley and Delmus Bishop.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Lucy Barger on Thursday, June 9 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the chapel at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. A funeral service will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will take place privately at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
