Marcia (Westenhofer) Rogers

Marcia (Westenhofer) Rogers, 71, longtime Morgan County resident, passed away December 30, 2023.  Marcia was born March 18, 1952, in Indianapolis, to the late Paul Raymond and Mary Lou (Fowlkes) Westenhofer.  She married Randall Rogers 54 years ago on July 5, 1969, and he survives.

Marcia attended Warren Central High School and was always one to stay busy.  She worked at Automotive Armature, Kroger, RCA in Bloomington, and for a number of years at Pebbles Laundromat.  Marcia’s greatest vocation revolved around her family.  She was strongly devoted to her family and loved large family gatherings, especially at Easter and Thanksgiving.  Marcia was always the one who orchestrated feeding everyone at the family get togethers.  She was very proud of her family and the accomplishments of her two sons, Randy and David; family always came first in Marcia’s world.  She was also an animal lover who was especially fond of her dogs, cats, and most recently chickens.  Recently the family moved to western Morgan County where she enjoyed a more quiet and peaceful environment.  Marcia always looked forward to her next travel adventure with her family and an occasional trip to the casino to try her luck at the slot machines.  Thoughtful, caring, selfless, and generous are words that describe Marcia’s lasting legacy that will continue through her loved ones and many friends.

In addition to her parents, Marcia was preceded in death by brothers, Myron, Jerry, and John Westenhofer; half-brother, David Jester; half-sister, Fern Clark.

Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Randall; sons, Randy and David; brother, David (Judy) Westenhofer; sisters, Myra (the late Clyde) Carter and Paulette (the late Roger) Parsley; bonus brother, Bill Dowell; bonus family, Randall, Jillian, Zack Allen and Dominique (Dustin) Chapman; many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather to remember and honor Marcia’s life on Friday, January 5, 2024, 4 to 8 p.m., in the chapel at Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory.  The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 6, 2024, at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Mannan Cemetery, near Lewisville.  Visit www.CarlisleBranson.com to share a favorite memory or to sign the online guest registry.
