Margaret Ann Jansen

Margaret Ann Jansen, 88, Indianapolis, passed away August 31, 2018. Mrs. Jansen was born October 10, 1929, in Vigo County, to the late Lawrence Stephens and Rena (Hutson) Gong.
She graduated from Shortridge High School. Mrs. Jansen was a member of Fairview Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles. Additionally, she loved children and provided childcare for a number of years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Burgess; her second husband, James Jansen; daughter, Virginia Burgess; brothers, Robert and James Stephens.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Carnes; two sons, David Burgess and William Burgess; sisters, Betty Cave and Helen Roberts; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m., Friday, September 7, 2018, in Fairview Presbyterian Church, 4609 N. Capitol Ave., Indianapolis. Funeral arrangements are being handled by
