Marjorie (Boyer) Selke
99, of Mooresville, passed away on May 15, 2022 at Meadow Lakes in Mooresville. Marjorie was born on September 18, 1922 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Guy Boyer and Grace Jeanette (Mears) Boyer.

Marjorie worked as a Senior Clerk of Operations for Indiana Bell, later Ameritech before retiring in 1983. She married Leroy F. Selke, Sr. on March 8, 1941 and were married for 47 years, at the time of his passing. She was a member of the Plainfield Eagles #3207 for many years, where she enjoyed playing Bingo. She also enjoyed crafting and crocheting in her spare time.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by sons Guy Selke, Lanny Selke, Gary Selke; brothers Charlie Boyer, Guy Boyer and a sister Josephine Hurd.

She is survived by her sons Leroy “Bud” (Mary) Selke, Jr., Dennis (Denise) Selke; daughters LaDonna (Sam) Collette, Carroll (John App) Johnson; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, who will miss her dearly.

Friends and family will gather to celebrate Marjorie’s life on Monday, May 23rd from 10am-12noon at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville with services beginning at 12noon on Monday in the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in Floral Park Cemetery.
