Mary A. Kirk

Mary A. Kirk, 88, Mooresville, passed away September 4, 2013. She was born in Sullivan County, Indiana. She spent most of her life in central Indiana and several retirement years in Orlando, Florida, before moving back to Mooresville, Indiana.
She attended Fort Wayne Bible College, earned a BS degree from Indiana State, and an MS degree from Indiana University Bloomington. She taught school in Marion County Religious Week Day for two years. Miss Kirk taught in Richmond, Connersville, Mooresville, West Newton, and Loogootee for 15 years. She then worked for 8 years at the Methodist Home in Franklin before retiring.
She was preceded in death by parents, Grover and Evaline Kirk; brother, Hary and Charles Kirk; sister, Mable Pullum and Pauline Price; nephews, James Kirk and Michell Pullum; nieces, Alice Marshall and Shauna Richardson.
Survivors include sister, Hazel Price and Vera Harris; brother, Earl Kirk (Carole); many nieces and nephews.
She attended Friendswood Baptist Church, Camby, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church, 7901 S. Kentucky Ave., Camby, IN 46113 or to Wycliffe Associates, PO Box 620143, Orlando, Florida 32862.
Friends and family will gather on Friday, September 6, 2013, 5 to 8 p.m. in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Pastor Josh Hess will officiate the 2 p.m. service on Saturday, September 7, 2013, in the funeral home. Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
