Mary Idonna Bishop

Mary Idonna Bishop, 80, Mooresville, passed away unexpectedly June 18, 2020. Idonna was born September 6, 1939, in Waverly, to the late Homer Ira and Minnie (Bell) Trusty.

She attended Mooresville High School. Idonna worked at Beauty by Magic for a number of years before owning and operating her own beauty shop out of her home for many years. She enjoyed boating and camping with her family and was an avid Indiana Pacers fan. Idonna’s memory will be cherished by her loving family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delmos “Del” Bishop, who died in 2014 and her sister, Betty Shipley.

Survivors include one son, Ira (Teresa) Bishop of Mooresville; one daughter, Anita (Bob) Hiles of Mooresville; sister, Susie Meade of Camby; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren.

Friends may call Tuesday, June 23, 2020, 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m., at the

Loved Idonna we lived behind them for 10 years she was my inspiration for taking care of our boat told us what kind of wax to use and keep it wax weekly in the summer…They also told us where to go at Dale hollow Lake and Cumberland Lake first time we went.there…So very sorry for your loss…ߙϰߏܰߒ—

  4. We loved Idonna and Delmois. Bill and I have so many go memories of our times together. We was together every weekend doing something. She will be missed very much. Love and prayers to the children.
