Mary Kathleen Endsley

Mary Kathleen Endsley, 90, Mooresville, passed away on February 19, 2022. Mary was born December 12, 1931, in Owensboro, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harley E. and Nellie (Meek) Leonard.

To know Mary Endsley was to love Mary Endsley. She graduated from Quincy High School and married the late Pastor Donald Endsley on January 20, 1951. Mary worked at Cataract Baptist Church and as a cook at Kendrick Hospital. Mary was the consummate pastor’s wife – she taught Sunday school, did the church secretarial work, organized the church dinners, and was Don’s caretaker. Mary took care of people; she cared for her mother in later years and also fostered 13 children through the years. She was an avid reader, enjoyed working puzzles, and was an excellent cook. Mary’s gift of cooking ensured that her family gathered for Sunday dinners. Her memory will be forever cherished by her loving family and church family.

In addition to her parents and Don, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Brown, and a half-brother, James Evans.

Survivors include her children, Jeffery (Jacqueline) Endsley, Rachel Skipworth, David (Joanne) Endsley, Kathy (Jim) Walters, and John (Michelle) Endsley; 22 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
