Mary Parks Dillon

Mary Parks Dillon, 79, Monrovia, died June 27, 2012, in Hendricks Regional Health. Mrs. Dillon was born April 23, 1933, in Clayton, to the late Raymond Parks and Bertha (Reeves) Gibbons.

She graduated from Mooresville High School and was a devoted homemaker and farmer’s wife through the years. A hard worker and good cook, Mrs. Dillon enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also liked reading, crossword puzzles, and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Sonny Parks.

Survivors include her husband, Fredric Dillon, to whom she was united in marriage December 12, 1953; children, Kevin Dillon (Teresa) of Mooresville, Kathy Richardson (Mike) of Mooresville, and Kyle Dillon (Lorie) of Mooresville; sister, Sharon Osborn (David) of Avon; grandchildren, Bradley Dillon, Katie Pruet, Andrea Richardson, Josh Richardson, Terah Adams, Ty Dillon, Tiffani Dillon, and Trea Dillon; great grandchildren, Allison, Kaden, and Carter; Cali; Keegan and Jolie.

The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 30, 2012, at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 29, 2012. Rev. Jack Elliott will officiate, and burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
