Max E. Goshert

93, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully at Meadow Lakes on August 16, 2022. Max was born in Warsaw, Indiana, to the late Melvin & Mamie Goshert on August 5, 1929. Max retired from the Internal Revenue Service after 35 years of service. He loved to travel the world and had visited over 31 countries, loved to cruise, and return home with all different kinds of trinkets! He had one regret during his travels, which was that he had not made it to Australia. Max was a volunteer with the Red Cross for over 25 years, spending most of his time in Morgan County., although he did spend some time away while taking on disaster assignments in places such as California, Louisiana, Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, and Puerto Rico.

Max is survived by his grandchildren; Brian (Heather) Goshert and Haley Goshert, along with Julia Watson, the mother of his 3 children.

Max is preceded in death by his loving wife Fran Goshert, sons; David, John, and Robert, along with brother; Robert L. Goshert.

  1. We only met Max a couple of years ago but he was such a gentleman and a great neighbor. He loved looking at our flowers and garden angels on his almost daily walks. RIP Max. You will be missed. Joyce and Chet Sparks

  2. Im so very sorry to hear of Max’s passing. Ive been his hygienist for 30 years, and enjoyed seeing him every 6 months. He always had a good story and was always smiling! I’m sure he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Sympathies, Sue Bau (Dr Fischer’s dental office)
