Mayanne (Record) Turner

Mayanne (Record) Turner, 72, Mooresville, passed away February 10, 2018
after a hard battle with cancer. Ms. Turner was born November 7, 1945 to the late Oliver Paul and Edithe (Wells) Record.

She was a strong loving woman that loved spending time with her family.
Mayanne was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Avon
American Legion Post 145. She enjoyed to pass the time by playing a game of
golf, bowling, or looking up family genealogy. Mayanne is going to be
greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband
Arby O. Turner II; and brother, Calvin Record.

Survivors include her son, Arby O.J. (Natalie) Turner III of Plainfield; a
brother, John (Diosa) Record of Riley, Indiana; sisters, Catherine (Jack)
Ham of Florida, and E. Kay Bardes of Avon, Indiana; sister-in-law, Betty
Record and two grandchildren Arby Karston Turner IV and Grant Oswell Turner.

Friends and family will gather for visitation on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, 4 to 8 p.m. in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, February 15, 2018, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the White Lick Cemetery.   2. I remember Mayanne from school and a neighbor as adults. Arby, Jr is the same age as my son, Ben . She was a remarkable person , and her family (the Records) were among Mooresville’s oldest families, lots of history to share. I am sorry to hear of her batlle and eventual loss.     Your loss is our loss as well. I am so very thankful we were able to spend a weekend with her last week. It will be a lasting memory for us. I know it took everything she had to go out but she was determined to go. I know she had a wonderful time. We will miss her very much.
