Michael Lee Grubbs Sr.

Michael Lee Grubbs, Sr., age 70, of Mooresville, IN, went home to walk with the Lord on Monday, January 20, 2014, at 4:00 a.m. He was born on July 21, 1943 in Bloomington, IN, to Ethridge and Helen Louise (Abbott) Grubbs, Sr.
He was raised at the Indiana Soldiers and Sailors Home in Knightstown, IN. He is a retired Navy Veteran and served on the USS William R. Rush during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was married to Melanee (Mann) Grubbs for 27 years. He worked as a traffic controller for 35 years at Reliable Drugs.
He was preceded in death by both his parents, his brother, Ethridge Grubbs, Jr., his sisters Freda Burnette and Kay Francis Elliott and his granddaughter, Abbigail Truner.
He is survived by his wife, Melanee; his sons, Michael (Kelly) Grubbs, Jr. of Mooresville; Rick (Wendy) Grubbs of Plainfield; Shiloh Dustin Cole of Martinsville; his daughters, Lisa Young of Ramona, CA; Shanna Cole Rawlins of Indianapolis; Stephanie Cole (Jeff) Nelson of Camby; his half-brother, John Grubbs of Montana; 15 grandchildren; two great grandchildren and one on the way.
Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Carlos Rigney at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2014 in the Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, with calling to begin at 5:00 p.m. You may visit www.carlislebranson.com where you may share a memory with the family or sign the guest book.
