Michael W. Pemberton

June 23, 1955 ~ February 24, 2022
Michael W. Pemberton, 66, Camby, Indiana, passed away on February 24, 2022. Mike was born June 23, 1955, in Olney, Illinois, to the late Patsy Rae (Bailey) Pemberton and Ralph Elmo Pemberton, who survives. Mike married Faye (Mouton) on July 30, 1977, and she also survives.
He graduated from Mooresville High School in 1973. Mike earned a Bachelor's degree from Topeka School of Ministry, studied at Atlanta Christian College, and received a Master's degree in Sacred Literature from Summit Theological Seminary.
Mike’s passion was leading people to Christ; he established White Fields World Ministries and worked as an Evangelist to bring the Gospel to India. Mike had also been a missionary to Africa, Antigua, and Nepal. It is estimated that Mike’s mission work resulted in the establishment of 250 churches, more than 50,000 people baptized, and over 175 preachers are in the field because of Mike’s leadership. Additionally, an orphanage of 100 girls was taught the Gospel, fed, educated, trained in work skills (sewing and computers), and health needs addressed, 800 widows were provided with new dresses this past year, a medical van was purchased and medical camps established, and food relief is still being provided for many, many Christian families during the pandemic. He loved to win souls and talk to people about the Gospel.
Mike enjoyed food (especially Faye’s), fellowship, and conversation. He also played chess regularly and loved being surrounded by his family. Mike was a longtime member of Mt. Gilead Church in Mooresville.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Linda Pemberton, and a grandson, Preston Wickham.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Faye; children, Lillian (Jeremy) Lantzer, Carrie (Aaron) Wickham, and Titus (Samantha) Pemberton; father, Ralph Elmo Pemberton; sister, Cindy (Jack) Abell; grandchildren, Corbin, Sophie, Emma, and Colson; Felicity, Jacquelyn, Hagan, and Lydia; Arianna, Isaac, Evelyn, and Olivia.

Mike – a man of enormous faith, deep commitment, determined persistence and one who lived a holy life truly devoted to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the glory of God. He was totally dedicated to winning souls to Christ and discipling them into active service in God’s kingdom. I am very grateful for the opportunity I had to work with Mike and others like him on the WFWM board for a few years.
Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your lossour thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.
To the Pemberton family, I met him briefly, he was a good Christian man and a great disciple of our Lord. His work with Whitefield was inspiring.
