Leslie Hylton Shrake

93, of Mooresville, passed away on January 8, 2023, at Meadow Lakes in Mooresville. Leslie was born on April 11, 1929 at home in Mooresville, Indiana to the late Paul Jay Shrake and Hazel (Pascoe) Shrake.

Leslie was a machinist and consultant for Best Lock and owner of Indy Lock for many years. Grounded in his faith, he and his wife Mary were long time members of Grace Church in Mooresville and later attended the Mooresville Church of God. He enjoyed hunting small and big game alike. He also enjoyed woodworking, tending to his yard and landscaping. He will be remembered as a Christian man who was strong in his faith and for his strong work ethic.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Cure) Shrake, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

He is survived by his daughters Cyndi Beleele, Debi Shrake, grandchildren Lisa Fredrick, Jason Crouch, Mike Walden, Andrea Walden, Jennifer Walden, C. J. Vidal, Caleigh Vidal, 4 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Leslie’s life on Saturday, Jan. 14th at 11am at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with visitation one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow the services in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
