Myrtle M. Hurt
94, of Mooresville, passed away on July 19, 2021 at Meadow Lakes in Mooresville. Myrtle was born on January 29, 1927 in Gordonsville, TN to the late Sadie (Vaden) and Jesse Pope.
Myrtle was the Dietary Manager for Miller’s Merry Manor in Mooresville for 30 years, retiring in 2005. In her younger years, she worked at the Black and White Grill in Indianapolis. Strong in her faith, she was a member of the Way of the Cross Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Phillip Hurt, son Timothy Cole; brothers J.C. Pope, Jackie Pope and sister Geraldine Winfree.
She is survived by her son Michael Cole; sister Anita Bennett; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Friends and family will gather on Thursday, July 22nd from 12-2pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with services beginning at 2pm Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in White Lick Cemetery.
