Nadine Liford

September 11, 1947 ~ May 31, 2019
Nadine (Jones) Liford
71, of Mooresville, IN passed away on May 31, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital, Indianapolis. Nadine was born on September 11, 1947 in Jamestown, Kentucky to the late William Ice Jones and Clody Mae (Weston) Jones.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Nadine will be fondly remembered by a loving family and many friends. Her children describe her as an amazing woman, who was outspoken and had no filters when it came to telling you how she felt, but you always knew that she loved you. In her younger years, she and her husband Clifford were both Indiana State Champion Archers in 1979. Additionally, she and Clifford enjoyed going to the casinos together as well as tending to their garden; a tradition of which the children have kept up since their father’s passing and their mother’s ill health no longer allowed her to garden. Although she never learned to drive, she was known as a great backseat driver who could always give great directions on how to get somewhere, despite sharing her opinion on how good or lack thereof, your driving skills may be.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Clifford W. “Bubby” Liford and 3 brothers and one sister.
Survivors include children, Clifford Liford, Jr. of Greenwood, Dana (Kenneth) Alsup of Camby, Kay (John) Billiard of Monrovia, Alan (Michelle) Liford of Greenwood, and Roberta Lynn (Jenny) Liford of Nicholasville, Kentucky; sisters Katheleen Hansel, Maxine Todd, Willdean Saleak; seven grandchildren, Kenneth and Michelle Alsup; Molly and Teagan Billiard; Kayla, Connor, and Michael Liford.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, June 3rd in the chapel at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 10:00am, Tuesday, June 4th at the funeral home, with burial following in New Crown Cemetery, Indianapolis.

Nadine was always so full of life! Always laughing n cutting up. She was definitely a one of a kind lady! R.I.P. Nadine!
I have many pleasant memories of Nadean when she would come stay with her sister (my mom) when school was out as a teenager. Prayers for all of you.
Nadine sure took to me like I was one of her own!!! She was an amazing women, a fighter! We would come up for a visit and she would smile from ear to ear, I took pleasure in brushing her hair, doing her nail and making her laugh!!! She would want to go to the casino one more time even if she felt bad! I love the way she loved me and the way she loved her family!! You will be missed by many and always loved by more!! Till we meet again!! Love you always Jenny!!!
I remember the lady always in the kitchen doing everyone ‘s hair.. wish she shared more of herself and let her kids know more of their cousin? All of The kids suffered over the brother and sister bickering? We knew nothing of my mother being your Dad’s sister my Father being your mother’s Brother? So honestly we are Brother and Sisters??
She is the lady I always seen in the kitchen rolling here I sure wish she would’ve shared herself more with her brothers children . Wish that her children could have been closer to her brothers children but because of their disagreements the children suffered the loss of relationship this as a family ? But in reality her brother is my father her husband is my uncle he is the brother of my mother so I guess her children are brothers and sisters to me and not cousins ????
Dana, so sorry for your loss. Nadine was a nice lady and always so friendly. I loved running in to her and talking with her.
