  1. When I was about nine years old. Aunt Nanette gave me a glass necklace in the shape of a mouse when we visited her store. She told me it was very expensive and to be very careful with it. Later, I was crying and holding the necklace. My parents asked what was wrong. I told them I was afraid to wear the expensive necklace because I might beak it. They laughed and explained it was not really an expensive necklace. I still have that necklace to this day. Thank Aunt Nanette!

  2. Where to even begin? Nan’s smile was larger than life. We danced, laughed and cried together. She taught me a lot. One Saturday she called me to see what I was doing for dinner. I explained that I was getting ready to paint the exterior door on the house. The next thing I know, she was pulling in the driveway to help me paint that door and doorframe. We had a little radio on. She made painting that door fun. We went out for supper afterwards. I love her more than words can describe and friends like Nanette Roberts do not come a long everyday. I am blessed by her friendship. We only get one life to live. I am glad she shared her life with me. She will be missed and never forgotten. Prayers of comfort to the family. May God richly bless them.

  3. I should wear my glasses when using my phone. It should read break not beak and thanks not thankߙ„

  4. Nan surprised me on my wedding day with her fur coat for my “something borrowed” item. This was crazy thougtful. I felt like a princess. Marti Lumpkin

  5. Nanette, from all of your family at Joe & Jonesy’s, thank you for coming into our lives. For me you were always a calming presence and always ready with a smile and a hug. I hadn’t seen you in a while but you were always close to my heart.
