Patti J. Smith

Patti J. Smith, 71, of Mooresville, Indiana passed away at home on December 16, 2022. Patti was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Glendon & Jean Hinshaw. Patti was a Cosmetologist at Set and Style for many years. She was a lifelong member of the Mooresville VFW Post 1111. She loved animals, especially dogs. Patti was a “giver” and loved to take care of others. She enjoyed I-U sports and all college basketball. You could often find her in her bed watching True Crime on TV. She will be missed by many.
Patti is survived by her Sister-in-Law; Tari Eversole and nephews; Joe (Holly) Eversole, Justin (Kalyn) Eversole, Adam Smith and Alex Smith.
Patti is preceded in death by her loving husband; Roger Smith, son; Robin Wayne Smith and sister; Judy Elizabeth Hinshaw.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

Patti was a very good friend in high school. Many of us would hang out together building floats, dances, sports events and many other activities. Roger was a fellow Pioneer basketball player who I admired. I am sorry we have lost another 1969 MHS graduated. I am always caught off guard as I was with Patti. God Bless you friend. What great memories we shared.

There are some people who come into your life and leave an impression then others who leave a lasting, forever impression. That was PJ! I am so thankful to have had her as a friend and someone who loved me flaws and all. I am grateful that she will have no more sorrow and can be with those she loved. Peace my friend until we meet again.
Sending my deepest sympathy to All in the Family, I worked with Patti several years ago and she helped me with my job lot, we had a lot of laughs together over the years and many Good Times. Rest in peace my friend I will miss you.

It seems only yesterday we girls of Marleywoods, Patti, Pam Sears, Monica Borges, Connie and Donnie Bastin, Debi Summerlot and myself Beki Swinney. If I have forgotten anyone I apologize. The time flew by so quickly and we all went in different directions.
I’m so sorry for such a difficult loss at a time typically celebrated with joy. She will celebrate with the love of her life, Roger and her son.
