It is with great sorrow that I write this note. I enjoyed playing with and against Paul in the Freehold Rec basketball games as he was an excellent player and competitor. He was also great company on many a commute from and to the City. We all will miss him. Sincere condolences to the Sweda family. HowieWoliver-brick NJ p.s. Didn’t look like Hurricane Sandy did any damage to the old homestead in Freehold.
During In the six years I worked for the New York State Division of parole I never had a better friend than Paul and was never more surprised than when I learned he’d scored higher on the Supervisors Exam than I had.
It is deep sadness that I just learned of Paul’s passing. I knew Paul as both a supervisor and a collogue for over thirty years we worked together at the NYS Division of Parole. Paul was very kind and generous to me during the years we worked together. He was very smart and someone I learned from and looked up to during those years. He was my first field supervisor and ultimately was very helpful in me becoming his collogue when I was promoted to Bureau Chief. My wife and I extend our deep and heartfelt condolences to his family.
