Dear Aunt Sandy and family, Our hearts are broken. We are very sorry about Ray’s death. You are all in our prayers. We just returned from a funeral in Indiana and one phrase I saw written was an encouragement to me. ‘Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.’ I know there will be many tears but we pray you will also have many smiles as you remember all the wonderful times you had with him. Love and Prayers, Cathy Wampler Thorne and family

Tuesday, at the end of the work day, the normal “have a good evening….see ya tomorrow”; little did we know about the very sad events waiting for us the next day. Wednesday morning and Ray wasn’t at work; and then early afternoon the shocking news of his sudden death. It is so difficult to find words of comfort in times like these. Ray was a wonderful person, a good friend, someone always nice to see and be around, really just an all around great guy. I had the privilege of working with Ray since 1995, first at EHOB and then at Mt. Olive. My heart aches with all who loved him. My most heartfelt condolences go out to his entire family. Ray will be missed very much. He left a positive mark in many lives and he will live on in very fond memories. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, Heike Roessiger, with daughters Nicky, Jenii and Kimmy My dad Kurt Roessiger (living in Germany) asked me to send his condolences as well.
