Rebecca Danyelle (Gruver) Walters, 47, Mooresville, passed away unexpectedly on August 3, 2025. Becky was born on May 25, 1978, in Champaign, Illinois, to Marylee (Gonder) and Larry L. Gruver, both of whom survive. Becky was married to the late Ernest Wayne Walters, III, who died in 2014.
Becky graduated from Monrovia High School and attended IUPUI. She worked in human resources for the State of Indiana, Perry Township School, and GXO. Most recently, Becky worked at Shein in Whitestown. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and writing. She enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino and especially liked trying her luck at the blackjack table. Becky was especially proud of her Native American heritage and loved to stay connected to her powwow family through singing and dancing. Becky will be remembered fondly by her loving family and many friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Savanna MeaDean Walters.
Survivors include her son, Daniel (Steven Shepherd) Walters; parents, Marylee and Larry Gruver; brother, Larry Lee Gruver; and her extended family, including aunts, uncles, cousins, and her Powwow Native American Family.
Cremation will take place at the Morgan County Crematory at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. A memorial gathering will take place on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 1 to 3 p.m., at the funeral home, 39 East High Street, Mooresville.
