Richard Lee "Dick" Maddex

Richard Lee “Dick” Maddex, 77, Camby, died peacefully at home October 19, 2012. Mr. Maddex was born July 11, 1935, in Indianapolis, to the late Carl and Irene (Barrett) Maddex.

He was the owner and operator of Maddex Trucking for many years and was a member of the Teamsters Local 135. Mr. Maddex also was a member of Valley Mills Christian Church. He enjoyed collecting and restoring classic cars. Above all, he was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Carol (Cochran) Maddex, to whom he was united in marriage March 16, 1957; daughters, Debra Roose of Indianapolis, Pamela Kilbourne (Tim) of Indianapolis, and Rhonda McMann of Danville; grandchildren, Amanda Kilbourne, Dennis Roose, Miranda Bohde, Devon Roose, Larissa Kilbourne, Shane McMann, T.J. Kilbourne, and Aimee McMann; great grandchildren, Jalen Gross and Brookelyn Bohde.

The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 23, 2012, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, October 22, 2012. Burial will be in West Newton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
