Resided in: Mooresville, Indiana
Richard Lee McClellan, 52, of Mooresville, left this earthly life and the struggles of failing health on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at Ascension Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis. Rich was born on September 8, 1973 in Indianapolis.
He graduated from Ben Davis High School with the class of 1991. He was the owner and loan officer at Aaron Mortgage in Martinsville. He then owned and operated Hometown Custom Auto in Martinsville from 2009-2026.
Rich was a man of many passions. If anyone truly knew him, his first love (besides his family) was his McDonald’s #4 with cheese with a small root beer, and sometimes a coffee to go with. He was a true Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast, finding freedom and joy on the open road. He also enjoyed just kicking back, relaxing, and watching TV. Rich’s love extended beyond his immediate family; he was a devoted friend to many and was known for his generous spirit, always willing to lend a helping hand or the shirt off his back. A larger-than-life personality, Rich was the life of the party. He was always cracking jokes making sure everyone was laughing and having a good time. More than anything, he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and his family. He will be missed by many family and friends.
He leaves behind his mother, Lou Ann Huddleston of Indianapolis; son, Ben (Billie) McClellan of Mooresville; daughter, Bethany (Matt) Bynum of Wingo, KY; brother, Brent (Heather) McClellan of Martinsville; sister, Sara ( Dusty) Blair of Martinsville. He also leaves behind a granddaughter, and several grandsons who will greatly miss him, as well as several nieces and nephews that he thought the world of.
He also is leaving behind several extended family members that he met along his journey through life, and extended family that he claimed as his own.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Larry Huddelston.
Rich’s earthly remains have been cremated. There are no public services scheduled at this time.
