Robert “Bob” Yeley


89, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2022. Bob was born in Greensburg, Indiana on February 3,1933, to the late Marion and Nellie Yeley. Bob was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a Mason. In 1953, Bob married the love of his life, Frances, and went on to have two children. Bob loved music, dancing, and traveling. He enjoyed meeting up with Friends at the Eagle’s Lodge. He was lovingly known as “two-beer Bob”. Bob always lived life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by family and friends.


Bob is survived by his children; Robert “Rob” (Donna) Yeley and Kathy (Craig) Roembke, grandchildren; Rebecca (Mike) McPherson, Rachael (Brian) Grissom, Ashley (Jason) Harpold, and Robert Yailey, along with great-grandchildren; Jackson, Luke, Charlotte, Bridgette, Avery and Ray.


Bob is preceded in death by his wife of 28 years; Frances Yeley and brothers; Dale and Norman Yeley.


Bob’s Life Celebration® Visitation and funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm in the funeral home. Bob’s Life Celebration® Service will be in the funeral home immediately following at 6:00 pm. Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.   2. We are a sad neighborhood. Missing our friend and neighbor Bob. He was a character eith a wicked sense of humor. I took him over some Lemon Blueberry bread my favorite and l walked over a couple days later and l said Bob how did you like that, and he said said l loved it. I said what did you love Bob, he said all of it. Lol.. l said what was your favorite. He said all of it, it’s all my favorites. We’re going to miss him. The neighborhood seems so quiet these days.
