Robert E. Medsker

Robert E. Medsker, 79, Mooresville, died February 9, 2012. Mr. Medsker was born in West Union, Illinois, on September 21, 1932, to the late Elmer and Pearl (Bostic) Medsker.
He graduated from Marshall High School in Illinois. Mr. Medsker proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was a member of the Mooresville VFW Post 1111. He worked for Eli Lilly & Company for 25 years, retiring in 1992. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and was a proud husband, father, and grandfather.
Mr. Medsker was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Susan and one brother, William.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Irene (Weis) Medsker; children, Debbie Wurfel (Mark) of Kansas, Sandy Crockett (David) of Indianapolis, Bob Medsker ( Michelle) of Avon, Bill Medsker ( Carol) of Tennessee, Rick Medsker of Tennessee, and Tim Medsker (Tammy) of Mooresville; nineteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; sister, Josephine Cline of Illinois.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Sunday, February 12, 2012, Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 2 to 6 p.m., Saturday, February 11, 2012. I have lived next to Mr.Medsker for the past eighteen years and he always gave me a friendly wave and Hello every time I saw him. I have lost both my parents and I realize how difficult a time this will be for all in the Medsker family.
