Robert Stowers Kerr, 62, of Mooresville, passed away suddenly in the comfort of his home on Monday, July 13, 2026. Rob, as most knew him, was born on March 17, 1964, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late James Sheldon Kerr and Mary S. (Stowers) Kerr.
Rob was a devoted husband to Sally Ann (Fiscus) Kerr and a proud father to his two daughters, Shelby Kerr and Stephanie Culy. He and Sally were married on October 20, 1989, creating a partnership built on love, laughter, and unwavering support for one another.
Rob worked as an electronics technician for Meunier Electronics Supply in Indianapolis, where he honed his skills and passion for the electronics industry. He later continued his career at Spearing Associates in Indianapolis until his retirement due to health complications. Though he faced challenges, Rob never let them dim his bright spirit or his sense of humor. He was never the serious type, always joking, and could light up any room with his social nature, making friends wherever he went. He was a forthcoming, transparent soul who never knew a stranger, always eager to engage in conversation.
A keen outdoor enthusiast, Rob found joy in bird watching and photography, capturing the beauty of nature and wildlife through his camera lens. Another joy for him was his love of sports; he was a dedicated Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed playing baseball, continuing that passion by coaching his daughters softball teams for 13 years as they grew up.
His warm spirit and generous heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him including his wife, Sally Kerr of Mooresville; daughters, Stephanie (husband, Caleb) Culy of Greenfield and Shelby Kerr of Bloomington; brother, Doug Kerr of Brownsburg; sisters, Mary (husband, Brent) Evenson of Bloomington, IL, Jayne (husband, Jeff) McAllister of Fountaintown, Patricia (husband, Bob) Longo of Fairland, Julie (husband, Randy) Sanders of Greenwood, and Tammie (husband, Mike) Vanderipe of Carmel; and one grandson, Lincoln Culy.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Kerr; father, James Kerr; and step-mother, Virginia Kerr.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, July 20th from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service and Crematory. Rob’s Life Celebration Service will immediately follow beginning at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in White Lick Cemetery following the service.

Rob is my best friend Stephanie’s Dad. I spent a lot of time at his home in my college years. Rob treated me like his other kid, whether he agreed to it or not. I showed up one day storing my couch in his garage and “borrowing” a dog crate that eventually ended up mine. Stephanie and I would take all the cans he saved and turn them for money. He never asked for anything in return. He was always kind to me. Rob will certainly be missed by many. The Kerr family is in my thoughts and prayers.
