Roberta L. Moore

Roberta L. Moore, 83, of Mooresville, died November 29, 2012. She was born December 29, 1928, in Aniston, Alabama, to the late Eber Nelson and Rosie Etta (Rollins) Beason.
Roberta was a member of the Eternal Life Baptist Church, Mooresville. A jack of all trades, she worked in many different settings including but not limited to running a taxi service, cooking in a restaurant, and painting houses. Roberta was “Mamaw” to many, many people. She enjoyed crocheting and was wonderful at cooking and baking.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Moore, to whom she was united in marriage on April 8, 1946; daughter, Sandra Kay Moore; brothers, Lewis and Hoyat Beason; sisters, Ruby Lambert, Maxine Miller, and Vera Mae Johnson.

Survivors include her son, John C. Moore (Anne) of Mooresville; daughters, Mary Susan Moore of Mooresville; Shirley J. Moore of Mooresville; sister, Nellie Ruth Sellers of Hapeville, GA; grandchildren, Heather Marie Dilley, Eric Jason Moore, Christopher Lemon (Robin), and Angie Allsup (Jeff); 4 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at Noon, on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville. Pastor Don Endsley will officiate the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Eternal Life Baptist Church, 8554 E. Hendricks County Rd., Mooresville, IN 46158.
