Rodney Timothy Bowles Sr.

Rodney Timothy Bowles, Sr., 54, Monrovia, died June 30, 2011, in his residnce. Rodney was born March 12, 1957, in Indianapolis, to the late Norman Lee Bowles and Roxie (Lynn) Bowles, who survives.
Rodney graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1975. He was a machine operator for 33 years at the Allison Division of General Motors, retiring this year. Rodney was a Harley Davidson enthusiast. He enjoyed riding as often as possible and also was proud of having done the Miracle Ride for the last eight years.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Bowles, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda (Dodson) Bowles; children, Elijah Bowles of Greenwood, David Sumera of Louisiana, Teddy Sumera of Mississippi, Laura Bowles of Greenfield, and Roxanne Bowles of Lousiana; mother, Roxie Bowles of Indianapolis; brother, Raymond Bowles of Indianapolis; sisters, Norma Jean Bowles of Florida, Carrie Jo Bowles of Indianapolis, and Peggy Ivy of Camby; 18 grandchildren.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 10 a.m. Cremation will follow the service at the Morgan County Crematory. To Rhonda ,Rodney & his family so sorry about your lost me ,Elvis & Katrina all will miss him alot ,we had a lot of good times coming out to your parties & Elvis thought the world of him he will miss him alot & is so sorry to loose him they were great friends & had a lot in in common he like to sit & talk (w) Rodney . he was always good to us when ever we were around .
I have a lot of memories of Rodney he was a good guy & enjoyed company was always good to everyone when they came around ,he also loved his grandkids & was a wonderful grandpa to them he took good care of Rhonda ,Litttle Brendon & his daughters who he loved (w) alll of his heart .Me ,my Daughter Katrina & my husband Elvis was just talking about coming to see him & about our last memories of him was from last 4th of July how his family & ours went to watch fire works in Morreville ,then went back to there home & shot off fireworks til almost 3 am & how he was being silly & acted like he was going to bed then came around from the side & scared us all & just laughed about it.I also have some of him going to the Indpls Zoo (w) us all lots of great memories of him & Rhonda May God Bless You All .We love you& will be praying for you all
