Rondal E. Petty

Rondal E. Petty, 69, Martinsville, died November 26, 2012, in Indiana University Hospital. Mr. Petty was born May 12, 1943, in Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee, to the late Cecil A. and Berniece (Hall) Petty.
He attended from George Washington High School in Indianapolis and retired from BDP/Carrier Corporation, after 30 years of dedicated service. He also served in the United States Army Reserves. Ron enjoyed building and racing motorcycles.
Survivors include his son, Richard A. Petty of Martinsville; brothers, Glendal Petty of Martinsville, Donald Petty of Paragon, and Wendell Petty of Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Nancy and Rebecca Petty; one great grandchild, Jordan Wright; wife, Patty Petty.
The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 1, 2012, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 9 a.m. Burial will be in West Newton Cemetery. I always thought you didnt know my name until one day when i was leaving i said love you uncle ron and you love you too cass for 17 years of my life i just figured there was so many of us young ones running around you couldnt get us straight. And ill miss the annual hog roast at your house every summer. I know that i got older and didnt come around much but i rember when i was younger being at the races with you and everyone. Sorry to hear about Rondal. You may not remember me but I was Bud Hall’s stepdaughter. Marie was my mom. I go to church with Debbie at Gasburg Baptist Church. Jerry my sister also sends her sympathy. She went to school 47 with Rondal.
When we moved into our home 2 years ago and met our neighbor Ron and found out that we were both Petty’s we were never able to figure out out how we were related. So we both decided that we were somehow and left it at that. It was really great to know you Ron. May you Rest in Peace.
